Godspeed, Mr. Rauschenberg

In honor of Robert Rauschenberg, we are going to create combines, an art form for which he is famous. However, instead of making ours out of paint and sculpture, we will describe our objects with words.

How to create an ipost | upost combine:
1) Look around the space you are in and choose several objects you find there.
2) upost a comment describing a way of combining those objects into a cohesive work.
3) Title your combine.

Alternatively, you may add an object from your space to someone else's combine and/or alter the titles.

the mug is lined with the five-week-old crusted remains of hot chocolate

into the mug drifts a torn hazard label from a power supply

"Horticultural Club"

A large halogen dome light fixture (like the ones that hang in gyms) projecting into a metal cylindrical air duct lined with pictures of children having fun. An African violet hangs suspended within the duct.

Coins rain down on the African violet. The pictures of the children having fun are all taken in the rain, ie. puddle hopping, etc. There is a man standing below the duct with a toy gun, pointed at the children.

New Title: "Horticultural Club At Large"
A slim bottle of hand lotion stands proudly inside a stained coffee mug (although the mug has never been used for coffee and is actually stained with tea, mwaha!) Another mug was filled with pencils and pens, but the mug is tipped over and the pens now spill out surrounding the other mug. Two keyboards are propped up to form a tent over all of the above.

Title: "What's Really Important"
