Q. Do you know why Philadelphia is known as the City of Brotherly Love?
A. Because somebody with a healthy sense of irony made up that name.
Please post made-up nicknames or mottoes for cities that you've experienced first-hand.

Boston is the Walking City, the Cradle of Independence and Bean Town. But mostly it's the Tom Brady Is God City and New York's Forgotten Stepbrother.
I like that Cincinnati is named after Rome (Cincinnati means Seven Hills). It's the Queen City and Porkopolis.
Dayton is the Birthplace of Flight and the Biggest Little Racist Town in the Midwest.
Louisville is commonly Falls City, River City, Derby City, but so are a lot of cities.
