Rip-Off Wednesday #15: Show and Tell

On Rip-Off Wednesdays, we steal someone else's idea and translate it into an ipost.

Today we will be ripping off aggregators of cool things such as notcot.org or just about any tumblr site out there.

Name That Thing

It's time to play your favorite game: Name That Thing. Even though it's your favorite, you might not know how to play. Here are the rules:

1. Pick a thing (it can be ANYTHING: a person, place, idea, moment, instance, event, hypothetical situation, nonsensical blather, etc.). The more creative and specific it is, the better.
2. Post a comment that says, "Name that thing."
3. Other people will try to guess your thing by responding to your comment.
4. After there have been at least 3 guesses, the person who said "Name that thing" gets to choose the winner. They will reveal what the "thing" was and explain why the winner was the closest to guessing correctly. This is called the "Judgment".

Vowel Movement

1. Choose a word with multiple vowels (do not tell us what it is).
2. Replace all the vowels with a single (or double) vowel repeated in each space (ie. Use the same vowel throughout the new word: igloo becomes ugluu, poodle becomes peedle).
3. Define the new word.

Bonus: Guess what other people's original words were.
